Today I will show you how I install MacOS High Sierra on my eco build at work.
First the specs:
CPU: Intel Core i3 6100
Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-H110M-Gaming 3
Ram: DDR4 Kingston HyperX FURY Black 2 x 4GB 2133MHz
Wifi: Fenvi FV8302
Bluetooth: I use Orico Bluetooth USB, work great!
1 x SSD Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 7mm 120GB (install OS on this) took from old pc at home (I upgraded my desktop at home, currently using 250gb M.2 NVME)
1 x HDD Toshiba 1TB (cheapo one for data)
PSU: Andyson E5+ 400W -Passive PFC Single Rail True Power (bought this because I plan to buy a graphics card later, GTX something for graphics design and gaming too :->)
LCD: LG 24mp59g (company provided)
CPU, mainboard, and rams are secondhand (actually one ram is new and the other one is secondhand), really want to buy better specs, but no money :'(
I created the Mac OS High Sierra boot disk using this guide https://hackintosher.com/guides/make-macos-flash-drive-installer/
Now is the important part, prepare the USB with Clover and all the kexts (similar to drivers on windows) so it can boot and install on your hackintosh machine like a real mac.
For Clover, you can download it from here https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/ and install it on your hdd and copy it to your usb boot using clover configurator.
Click Mount Partition then Open Partition, copy the EFI folder that Clover just installed on your HDD to this partition then continue with all the kexts below:
The files you need are as follow:
Lilu.kext : the kind of kext which all other kexts depend on (list of kexts depend on lilu https://github.com/acidanthera/Lilu/blob/master/KnownPlugins.md)
FakeSMC.kext : fake your Hackintosh so that MacOS see your computer as a real mac.
IntelMausiEthernet.kext : for Wired Internet aka your LAN port.
AirportBrcmFixup.kext : for Wireless Internet aka Wifi.
WhateverGreen : Various patches necessary for certain ATI/AMD/Intel/Nvidia GPUs.
All copy to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other
Apfs.efi for macOS High Sierra : Apple File System driver (if you don’t have this and use Apfs, the installer will hang in the second reboot)
Apfs.efi is installed in either /EFI/Clover/drivers64UEFI or /EFI/Clover/drivers64 folder depending on the bios system that we have (UEFI/Legacy).
After you’re done with the preparation, now let start booting up the USB and install it to your computer, it will reboot 2 times and the wait is pretty long (30 minutes to 1 hour), so sit back and relax.
After installation complete. Boot up your mac and check if everything is working. If you don’t have audio, try the script below.
For audio I use:
Please check you mainboard audio codec and install audio_cloverALC according to the guide on GitHub.
That’s it! Enjoy your new OS! If you’re looking for Mac Apps, Games, Plugins. Use this site: https://mac-torrent-download.net/
